Tara Hoover Design
I work with corporate and academic marketing professionals who seek awesome design and an enjoyable, collaborative, human relationship. I love my clients. And I like the variety of working with different people, and the learning that comes from supporting organizations in different sectors-from higher education to corporations. Want to see the results of a successful collaboration?

Check out my portfolio. I shine brightest when creatively supporting corporate and academic marketers who share my values and seek my capabilities. Is that you? Contact me to set up a 30-minute, complimentary phone (or video) call to candidly discuss your needs, and see if our personalities, aesthetics and working-styles align.
Services
My ideal clients are warm, driven marketing professionals who care about a great partnership as much as a job-well-done.
I'm a freelance designer with corporate sensibility, corporate hours, and great-big capabilities.
I'm enthusiastic, fun and direct.
I like being part of your team, making your job easier, and helping your organization grow.
I'm especially fond of higher education and corporate clients who love brand standards as much as I do.
Truth be told, identity manuals make me giddy!
My career has been spent working in, or with, marketing departments and agencies.
Thanks for saying hi!
Your message is on its way to my inbox this very moment, and I'm excited to learn more about your project.
I do my very best to respond to each request within 48 hours, so please don't think I'm ignoring you if you don't get a reply immediately.
I appreciate your patience and look forward to meeting you soon.
Let's be awesome together!
If you're located in the Pittsburgh area and would like to meet up for coffee or lunch, let me know.
A socially distanced conversation in-person beats phone or video calls any day!
As a marketer, I know you have a variety of needs.
Many of your projects and campaigns may involve outside vendors and require a designer who can project manage and minimize costs.
I see my role as providing excellent partnership, planning and design to you-as well as liaising with the vendors to ensure the finished product is as good as the planning and design that went into it.
To achieve the best outcome possible for each initiative, I ask questions like: What does success look like for this campaign?
If we are in simpatico, I'll prepare a proposal (complete with goals, deliverables, cost and timelines) for your review.
When approved, I'll send over the contract.
After the contract is signed and deposit paid, we'll schedule a kick-off meeting to review the goals for the project and answer any questions you may have.
I'll setup and share the project in Asana (or we'll work in your organization's preferred project management software) to get a clear view of who's doing what, and when.
I'll get started on designs and we'll work together to refine the piece until you're ready to give your stamp of approval.
Because I'm with Juno, volunteering for the pet therapy programs at UPMC Passavant Hospital and Pittsburgh International Airport.
It's ultra-rewarding (for both of us)! Check out the canine-compassion on my Instagram.
She has some availability on Fridays, yet she books-up early and requires abundant payment in treats, hugs and pets.
Every project is different depending on the size and scope of the deliverable.
The easiest way to give you an accurate quote is by having a (complimentary) conversation.
